Font Choice: Century Gothic 

Theme: The theme of the article is family. While it is about history and preservation, the most important aspect of it is family. The tone is hopeful in some ways but it also borders on sorrowful for those stories that are already lost as the end of the article mentions on how little time we do have. I want to visualize this with a overall cohesive design but with fading elements some stories are being lost or are already lost.

Why?: The main draw of this article for me was that recording my family’s history is something that I’ve tried to do multiple times throughout my life, unsuccessfully. It is a topic that means something to me so I hope that it will inspire me to create just as meaningful a design.
